MY GOALS:

I want to gain as much education as possible with my experience at SLCC.  I want good teachers that will make me work hard and truely learn the subject so I can use it in my life after school and be skilled in many aspects.  Some of these skills I would like to acquire are: hard work, diligence, good study habits, retaining the information we learn and are tested on, listening, teamwork, and social skills.  I want to grow into an educated person who knows a lot about topics that interest me.  I want to be able to help those who will follow after me by giving them advice and help them in this crucial time in their life.  I want to be a person that knows what he wants and will do anything to get it.  Someone who will work harder than anyone.  I want to find what I love and be dedicated to it.  I want to become a great learner.  At this time in my life I feel i am ready to be that great learner.  I did well in high school but i wasn't truely learning, I was just good about doing what was needed done.  I want to actually learn what these classes are all about and apply them in my life to become a more balanced person.    My short-term goal is to graduate from SLCC with my Associates degree and go to a 4 year institution to get my Bachalors Degree in Excercise Physiology.  My long-term goal is to become a dentist.  That is what I am shooting for in my life.  I know it will be alot of work, but I feel that I would do well as I work hard.  I dont feel I will out smart people but that i will work hard and be diligent in my studies and I will become that learner I desire to be.  There have been many things in my life that I thought I would never be able to do and I ended up doing them very well.  I feel I can do whatever I put my mind to.  Going to school and taking difficult classes will prepare me for dental school and will eventually help me become what i want to be.
